Substance abuse awareness at Mpumelelo High School

SAPS officers tackled the topic of the dangers of substance abuse

Several departments aligned to host a substance awareness talk on March 2.

The Amangwe South African Police Service (SAPS) Social Crime Prevention officers as well as the Station Commander partnered with officials from Correctional Services, the Department of Transport and other non-governmental organisations.

They visited Mpumelelo High School to create awareness. SAPS officers tackled the topic of the dangers of substance abuse.

Learners were sensitised about the negative consequences of substance abuse. Officials from other departments offered advice on road safety, early relationships and hardships of life in prison.
