Women’s World Day of Prayer observed at NG Church in Estcourt

The women at the NG Church prayed for the Philippines this year and the theme was 'Am I being unfair to you?'

The NG Church in Estcourt hosted the Women’s World Day of Prayer this year. This prayer day is held annually on the first Friday of March world wide.

The Women’s Day of Prayer commenced on 1887 and is held in 167 countries on the same day of the year, this year was the 87th celebration in South Africa.

The women at the NG Church prayed for the Philippines this year and the theme was ‘Am I being unfair to you?’ ‘My genade is vir almal.’
Christian women from 11 different churches were invited to attend.

The Women’s World Day of Prayer was well-attended by Christian women

The event commenced at 3pm in the church hall where coffee/tea and snacks were served while the women had time for fellowship.

The prayer meeting commenced at 4pm in the church. Despite the heavy downpour of rain as the event commenced, there were 46 women present at the prayer meeting.

It was a wonderful afternoon of fellowship, praise to the Lord, song and prayer.
