Men unite to pray at the NG Church in Estcourt

Scripture verses were read in three languages – English, Afrikaans and isiZulu and different people shared their thoughts

Following the example set by the Women’s World Day of Prayer held on March 3, the men met on the following day to read scriptures and pray together.

The meeting was led by Dr Lourens Schoeman. The passage was read from the Gospel of John, chapter 17, where Jesus prays that his disciples should be one.

The NG Church hosted a Men’s World Day of Prayer on Saturday morning.

Scripture verses were read in three languages – English, Afrikaans and isiZulu and different people shared their thoughts.

Prayers were also said by the participants in their respective languages and the meeting was closed in a spirit of fellowship and renewed vision for the church of South Africa.
