MAP: When are you likely to have water restored in your area?
The order in which areas (zones) will have water supply restored has been changed by the Department.

The Department of Water and Sanitation has tweaked Cllr de Kock’s plan a little.

The order in which areas (zones) will have water supply restored has been changed by the Department, and the new schedule is as follows:
Zone A is the area from Mark Street, north to Brecher Street, then from East Street, west to Edward Street, including the Protea Park and Klip Street area.
Water supply will be restored to Zone A between March 27 and April 13/
Zone B is the area from Mark Street, south to Spoor Street, and from Stretch Crescent, west to Njala Street, including the Pioneer Park and Edel Parl area.
Water supply will be restored to Zone B between April 18 and May 5.
Zone C is the industrial area and Sasko (Extension 17).
Water supply will be restored to Zone C between May 8 and May 12.
Zone D is the Bhekuzulu and Vryheid East area.
Water supply will be restored to Zone D between May 15 and May 24.
Zone E is the Lakeside area (old and new extenstions).
Water will be restored to Zone E between May 25 and May 31.
Water will be restored to homes without water meters, as fast as the municipality can replace the stolen meters.
Roland Marx of the Department of Water and Sanitation warns that the dates mentioned above are estimated dates as they do not account for factors that may interrupt the schedule, e.g. bad weather and the repair of burst pipes.
