Sarel teams do well at Voortrekker Tournament

Sarel Cilliers Rugby teams travelled to Pietermaritzburg to participate at the annual Sports Day.
After an early start and a long wait on the highway due to an accident that took place, the teams eventually arrived and managed to complete their respective matches.
Om die dag nog meer interresant te maak het die weer sy werk goed gedoen om seker te maak dat almal sopnat was. Die wedstryde wat gespeel is het plaasgevind onder moeilike omstandighede, maar elkeen van Sarel Cilliers se spanne het oorwinnings behaal.
Die tellings is as volg: 014 wen 17-12 vs Empangeni, 015 wen 27-0 vs Greytown, 016 wen 22-0 vs Greytown, 2de Span wen 19-7 vs Greytown en die 1ste Span wen 19 -0 teen Newcastle Hoërskool. Dankie vir elkeen se bydrae tot hierdie suksesvolle dag, asook aan al die onderwysers, afrigters en spelers wat dit vir ons as skool moontlik maak om te presteer.
The first netball team travelled to Voortrekker on Saturday March 25. They were ready and amped to play four matches against different schools. The scores were as follows: They won two matches 9-5, 11-2 and lost two 3-6 and 5-6. Although the girls did not win the tournament they had a great time and enjoyed it thoroughly.
Die hokkie meisies het vier wedstryde gespeel. Sarel het 2-0 gewen teen Voortrekker se onder 16 span, gelykop teen Greytown met 2 elk, verloor teen Kingsway 3-1 en gelykop gespeel teen Ladysmith met die telling 0-0.
Chess News
Sarel Cilliers played chess on March 15 against Vryheid Landbou High School. They won five games and drew one game. The following chess players won their games: S Msane, N Buthelezi, L Xaba, J Potgieter, Z Buthelezi and T Jaji drew.
