KwaZamokuhle basketball team scores

Thanks to Syabonga Ndumo who had a great game and scored 12 of 16 points the team made

KwaZamokuhle Special School wheelchair basketball club (Young Dynamics) went to Durban (Umlazi D Section) to play their first PCCL games. The games took place on March 25 and 26. These games are very special and important in the lives of learners living with disabilities.

At these games a selection of the Top Schools Provincial Players took place. It was great to see the newly introduced athletes playing their first game.

The players were Lindelani Radebe (13 years) and Nduduzo Mdluli (12 years) and the newly appointed head coach Mr CS Nyathi.

During the first game Young Dynamics lost 10 – 22 points to Wheelchair Marlins, which is a professional wheelchair basketball team. The team won the second match they won 18 – 2, beating Open Air School.

In the last game of the day, they were beaten again by Wheelchair Marlins 16 – 28. Thanks to Syabonga Ndumo who had a great game and scored 12 of 16 points the team made. Currently Young Dynamics is placed second in their pool after Wheelchair Marlins.

The following pool of games will take place on April 22 and 23. Hopefully our own UThukela team will be able to top up their points.
