Breaking News: Taxi protesters are starting to move their vehicles and traffic should be flowing shortly

It will take close to an hour before backlogs in traffic are cleared

Taxi drivers are moving their vehicles off the road and allowing traffic to pass. This comes after this morning’s (May 8) protest action carried out by taxi drivers.

It will take close to an hour before backlogs in traffic are cleared.

Negotiations with police and other parties are currently taking place in order to resolve the issue.

At this stage, it is unclear whether the roads will stay open.

This morning, drivers blocked off the road to Ezakheni at the Pieters turn-off, Limit Hill robots and Steadville.
