Rugby Trials
Dylan Maré, Sizwe Malakoane, Thabani Mnisi and Bongumenzi Ntuli took part in rugby trials that took place on Monday May 15.
It was all the boys selected from all regions of KZN. From these trials they have thinned out the list to make one of three possible KZN Teams: Craven Week Team, Academic Team or Country District Team. These boys are still eligible to make any one of those sides. The next trials will take place in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday, May 24.
Boys Hockey Trials
Nqubeko Mngomezulu was selected to be part of the Training Squad of the KZN Inland Team. Well done Nqubeko and good luck with the next round!
Nampo
Op die 17de Mei het ‘n groep van nege ywerige seuns die lang pad na Bothaville, vir die Nampo Oesfees, aangedurf. Ons het by Klerksdorp Dam oorgeslaap, en het die 19de weer die pad terug aangedurf. Dit was ‘n opwindende toer gewees, en ons het baie geleer. DHS wil net vir Meneer Smit baie dankie sê vir die geleentheid; dit was ‘n groot belewenis!
Sport vs Vryheid High
Rugby: Saterdag, 20 Mei, het ons teen Vryheid Hoërskool gespeel en het die volgende uitslae gehad:
o/14’s – DHS 0-24 VHS, o/15’s – DHS 8-12 VHS, o/16’s – DHS 14-12 VHS, 2de Span – DHS 10-17 VHS, lste Span – DHS 28-10 VHS.
Seuns Hokkie: Die seuns het baie goeie hokkie gespeel. Die 2de Span het ongelukkig 2-1 verloor terwyl die 1ste Span twee elk gelykop gespeel het!
Girls Hockey: A warmer day brought about better results for the girls’ teams. The u/14s had a great game and won 2-0. The u/16s lost 1-3. The 2nds kept up their good form with a 1-0 win and the 1st Team won 1-0. Thank you to everyone for their support. A big thank you to Louise Rebeiro for umpiring three games on Saturday.
Netbal: Die meisies het hul harte uitgespeel met die volgende uitslae: o/14A – DHS 18-16 VHS, o/15A – DHS 19-14 VHS, o/15B – DHS 16-23 VHS, o/16A – DHS 10-18 VHS, o/16B – DHS 4-16 VHS.
