Local winner scoops luxury car in national Vodacom competition

The chances of winning a national Vodacom competition are slim ---- but this winner took out a contract at Dundee Chatz and has taken delivery of her dream car.

There was great excitement in front of the Municipality yesterday when 24-year-old Nompumelelo Ndamane took delivery of a sparking Jaguar F Pace valued at around R800 000 to R1-million after she had taken out a new Vodacom contract through Dundee Chatz.

“The competition was a national one and the chances of the winner being from Dundee were indeed slim – but you have to enter to win and even in Dundee you can be a winner,” enthused Peter Davey,w ho owns Dundee Chatz

A shining  Nompumelelo, who lives in Ladysmith but who works at Transnet in Glencoe, was handed the keys to the luxury car by Clinton Laurens of Jaguar Nelspruit.

She and her family were beside themselves with Nompumelelo saying that she could not believe that she had won.  The high-tech car was demonstrated by Clinton as passers-by rubbernecked to see what all the fuss was about outside the Municipality – and for a change, it was not a protest march!
