A 24-year-old man is facing charges of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm after he allegedly assaulted his 10-year-old nephew.
The young boy was assaulted with a stick on Saturday.
He sustained injuries to his head and body.
The arrested man appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
