The 22-year-old man, accompanied by two others, invaded the home of a 26-year-old woman in the Zwelisha area of Wembezi on Sunday

A man accused of house robbery has appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court a day after the alleged crime was committed.

The 22-year-old man, accompanied by two others, invaded the home of a 26-year-old woman in the Zwelisha area of Wembezi on Sunday.

“They demanded her bank card PIN number. When they had left, the woman noticed that two cell phones, a flat screen television as well as a DVD player were missing from the premises,” commented police spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig.

One of the men was later arrested and appeared in court on charges of house robbery.
