The pollution into the Steenkoolspruit continues…. Weeks after a major sewage leak poured effluent into the river, more sewage has found its way into the stream.

Piles of foam can be seen in the river, visible from the bridge on the Dundee/Helpmekaar road. FC Bester of the Endumeni Residents Association has expressed great concern over the ongoing contamination of the river.
He has asked the Department of Water Affairs to investigate.
