Stolen vehicle recovered in Weenen

"Further investigation revealed that the vehicle, a Honda, had been stolen in Dobsonville, Soweto during January 2017"

A 35-year-old man was arrested by Weenen police last Thursday afternoon.

The police officers were working on intelligence when they intercepted a vehicle in the Weenen central business district.

“Further investigation revealed that the vehicle, a Honda, had been stolen in Dobsonville, Soweto during January 2017. The vehicle will be subject to further investigation,” said police spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig.

The arrested man appeared in the Weenen Magistrate’s Court on July 31. He faces a charge of being in possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
