A 31-year-old man appeared in the Ekuvukeni Magistrate’s Court on Monday (August 7), facing a charge of murder.
It is alleged that the suspect used a panga to kill his girlfriend.
The vicious attack took place in the Vaalkop area of Ekuvukeni on Saturday, August 5.

Police were alerted to the crime by a member of the family.
The suspect was swiftly arrested by Ekuvukeni police officers.
