There was a diverse array of talent on show, with a poetry recital, a choir and the English, Afrikaans and Zulu plays being the highlights of the evening.
The annual Cultural Evening took place on Thursday evening and it was a resounding success, with tickets sold out before the time.
There was a diverse array of talent on show, with a poetry recital, a choir and the English, Afrikaans and Zulu plays being the highlights of the evening.
The English play, An Education in Witches, was a delightfully wicked tale of witches sent to a small rural school as punishment for wrongdoings.
The Afrikaans play ‘n Boudjie vir jou Vroutjie, taken from a Roald Dahl story, was a lesson in how to get away with murder. The Zulu skits were hilariously funny with many traditional aspects of the Zulu culture given a modern twist. A very good night was had thanks to superb acting by all, creative diversity, an enthusiastic audience and the hard work of Mr Dube, MrsPretorius and Ms Layland, who organised the evening.
