Truck driver shot on the N3
A second occupant, believed to be the driver's colleague, escaped without any injuries

A truck driver was shot and seriously injured on the N3 near the Mooi River Toll Plaza last Monday afternoon.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene, just one kilometre away from the toll plaza, at about 3pm to find the truck stopped on the side of the highway.
“The male driver, believed to be approximately 30-years-old, had been shot more than once. The victim was in a critical condition and due to the severity of his injuries; he was attended to by the Netcare 911 paramedic. Advanced Life Support airway management protocols were followed and he was placed on a ventilator at the scene,” explained Netcare Limited Media Liaison Nick Dollman.
The man was taken to hospital for further medical care. A second occupant, believed to be the driver’s colleague, escaped without any injuries.
