Constable CZ Sibiya was found dead in her car, after sustaining one gunshot wound
Estcourt police are investigating a case of murder. This is after one of their own was shot and killed.
Constable CZ Sibiya was found dead in her car, after sustaining one gunshot wound.
“On August 19 the police in Estcourt were doing patrols when they noticed that a vehicle was off the road and went to investigate. On arrival they found that the vehicle belonged to one of their members. Upon checking, they found that Cst Sibiya was in the vehicle with a gunshot wound and she was already deceased,” explained police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel JS Sokhela.
The constable was off-duty at the time. Last Friday, unconfirmed reports claim that a man believed to be the deceased’s constable’s boyfriend and also a policeman handed himself over to police.
