Female partnership yields success

Female police officers from Wembezi and Ntabamhlophe together with KZN Wildlife female officers conducted crime prevention operations as part of Women’s Month.
The operation was held on August 24. During the operation the group closed down three illegal liquor outlets and recovered over 100 litres of liquor.
Three people aged 18, 21, and 42 were charged for selling liquor without a licence. In addition, a 40-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of a small quantity of dagga.
The suspect appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on Friday. House break-in implements and a dangerous weapon were also recovered, after it had been abandoned during the operation.
