Ladysmith forensic detectives acknowledged at awards ceremony
The Ladysmith office received accolades in the categories 'Best Performer Criminalistic Bureau', 'Best Performer Crime Scene Investigator', 'Best Performer Overall' and 'Best Performer Cleanest Office'

Officers from the Ladysmith Criminal Record & Crime Scene Management Unit (CR & CSM) attended their Annual KZN Excellence Awards Ceremony on Friday, September 15.
The event was held at the Coastlands Hotel in Umhlanga, Durban. The sole purpose of the event is to motivate crime scene investigators in the province and give recognition to those who excel within their environments. There were several categories of awards, including the Provincial Head Accolades.
There are 13 CR & CSM offices in KwaZulu-Natal, as well as 11 service points.
Personnel from the Ladysmith office walked away with no less than nine awards.
The Ladysmith office received accolades in the categories ‘Best Performer Criminalistic Bureau’, ‘Best Performer Crime Scene Investigator’, ‘Best Performer Overall’ and ‘Best Performer Cleanest Office’ awarded to Lieutenant Colonel JT Khoza (Commander Ladysmith).
In the individual award categories, Warrant Officer SS Domun walked away with the ‘Best Performer Automated Fingerprint Identification System’, Warrant Officer Kubheka walked away with ‘Best Performer Lab Technician’, Warrant Officer Gabela received a ‘Provincial Accolade Outstanding Service’ for presenting of evidence and Constable SZE Nkosi was awarded the ‘Best Performer Crime Scene Investigator’.
The Ladysmith Cluster Commander, Major General TE Gonya, congratulated all the recipients.
