DHS’s Vuyo Ngobese wins Gr11 Financial Literacy Speech Contest

On Friday, 15 Septemeber, three of our learners participated in the contest. Akhona Ngubane, Celiwe Sibiya, and Vuyo Ngobese gave well researched and practiced speeches on topics dealing with entrepreneurship, wise spending, and financial planning. The three orators performed brilliantly with Celiwe being placed 3rd and Vuyo winning the competition convincingly. Unfortunately, due to new competition regulations, Vuyo is unable to proceed to the Provincial round as our school is classified as a quintile 5 school. Dundee High is nevertheless extremely proud of this young man and the young ladies who participated.

DHS Matric Farewell

Dundee High School’s Matric Farewell will be held at the Battlefields Country Lodge on the 28^th September.  Spectators are welcome to come and view the arrival of the matriculants from 16:30 – 18:30. Please note that the spectators will use a separate entrance (at the rugby fields).  Entrances will be clearly marked.  Come and enjoy an afternoon of excitement as these young ladies and gentlemen fluff their feathers.

DHS thanks the Motsepe Foundation for donating bibs

We are truly grateful for the generous donation of bibs from the Motsepe Foundation.  DHS received the bibs for their participation in a provincial tournament that took place on the 2 September.  Mr Sibiya from the department of education visited DHS on Monday 18 September to hand the bibs over to Mrs L Madondo, a DHS netball coach.
