uThukela District Municipality would like to inform the community that due to urgent maintenance to be undertaken at the Ezakheni Water Treatment Works (Clarifiers) today (October 17), the plant will be shut down from 3am to 10am.

5. ‘Hurricane of flames’ ravages a Portuguese village

Fernando Lourenco, 71. his wife and sister were asleep in their home in western Portugal when the flames engulfed the hillsides and descended into the village. The retirees never woke up.
