Mountainbikers busy with several events
THE past weekend has been a busy one with mountainbikers taking part in events all over.The 6th Ashburton event in the series was held at Kaapsehoop near Nelspruit.

THE past weekend has been a busy one with mountainbikers taking part in events all over.The 6th Ashburton event in the series was held at Kaapsehoop near Nelspruit. Marius and Elize van Eden and Frances van Rensburg took part in the shorter stage event. Frances took first place in the youth category in the series! Congratulations! So proud of you, Frances. Anne van Rensburg came 2nd in her 20km event. Riaan and Lize Swanepoel completed the longer 2-day stage in excellent times.
Eleven of Vryheids mountainbikers also took part in the Lüneburg 50km challenge. Sandra Haywood won first lady. Everette Haywood, Pieter Muller, Wessel van Deventer, Patrick Friend, Eugene Bosch, Paul Steffenson, Paul Marques, Jabulani Xulu, Philip Botha and Ronell Keeve also went along for the ride. We all loved it. So great to be out in the warmer weather. With many people enjoying our local routes we would like to remind you to please be considerate when cycling past farmhouses early in the morning, to be as quite as possible.
