Two injured as trailer clips vehicle

The road was partially closed to allow rescue workers to clear the wreckage.

Two people were injured when a trailer apparently clipped an oncoming vehicle on the Dundee/Vryheid road, just past the turnoff to Ingudlane Lodge.

Traffic officials at the scene said they understood that an NDE-registered bakkie was towing a trailer, laden with timber, when the ripples in the road caused the trailer swing out into the path of an oncoming sedan.

The driver lost control of the sedan that veered off the road.  Both and an occupant of the bakkie were taken to the hospital, traffic officials said.  The road was partially closed to allow rescue workers to clear the wreckage.
