To describe Madeline Murray as emotional is an understatement.
After her inherited coin collection was stolen out of an office last weekend, Murray has expressed both anger and dismay at the theft.
She is now offering a R1 000 reward for its return.

Murray’s coin collection was an inheritance piece from her father-in-law, an impressive snapshot of currency across South Africa’s history.
“I wasn’t really interested in coins in the beginning. Then we had a family competition among the grandchildren and I decided to start collecting.”
Through online auctions and sales, Murray has spent days, weeks and months contributing significantly to the inheritance collection.
Then in the first week of October, tragedy struck.
“My husband took the coin collection to work. When he got back to work a few days later, it was gone.”
Murray described herself as disappointed with the theft of the collection.
