Great turn out as ghost busters go-a-hunting at Talana

No one did spot Col Gunning and his friends at Talana but once the photographs are downloaded who knows....

There was a great turn out at Talana Museum last night as over a hundred or so ‘ghostbusters’ attended the annual Ghost Walk… the Walk coincides with Talana Day – the day the first official battle of the Anglo Boer War was fought on October 20 1899.

Guides, Pam McFadden and Norman Leveridge, gave a rundown on the battle and the anniversary ghosts who are alleged to haunt the battlefield.  Many visitors have claimed to have spotted ghostly soldier-like figures at Talana along with horses and sudden ‘cold spots’.

While no one officially spotted a ghost last night, there was plenty of entertainment and storytelling in the run-up to the parade this morning through Dundee soldiers and other ‘characters’ followed by a full programme at Talana Museum complete with a re-enactment, pipe bands, vintage cars, stalls and more.

So where is Casper?
