Hospice celebrations shared over tea

A tea party was held at the Forderville Primary School Hall on Saturday as Estcourt Hospice Association celebrated World Hospice and Palliative Care Day.

Talks were given on breast cancer and depression; including the role the Hospice plays in the community. Hospice caregivers each received shopping vouchers and grocery hampers for all their efforts.

As part of the Estcourt CanSA Support Group‘s Voices for Hospice, a raffle draw was also done.

The volunteers from the monthly cake sales and Hospice Charity Shop were not forgotten, they also received shopping vouchers.

Milan, Trivannia, Parak and friends, Sashnee Sunjeeth, Vishaylin, DJ Preggie entertained the attendees with music and dances.

Trivannia Soorajlal performed a dance.

A special thank you went to corporate sponsors, the Estcourt Hindu Cultural Society, Forderville Primary School and the many well-wishers for sponsoring items for the tea party.

Yummy eats were enjoyed at the end of the programme.
