Teen murdered while trying to flee attackers

POLICE are seeking answers to the inexplicable murder of a Bhekuzulu teen.

Qiniso Sieko (19), a matric learner at Filidi High School, was shot twice and stabbed in the back as he was trying to flee his attackers on October 3.

Witnesses say Qiniso was standing on the sidewalk in the Emgabini area with two men when a red/maroon Mazda 323 without registration plates pulled alongside them.

Four men got out of the vehicle, assaulted one of the men and stabbed the other before attacking Qiniso as well.

They then climbed back into the car and sped off.

While his two companions survived the attack, Qiniso succumbed to his injuries at the Vryheid Hospital.
