BREAKING NEWS: One dead in Arbor Park collision

The Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to remove the victim from the wreckage.

One person passed away in a fatal collision on Oak Street in Arbor Park earlier this evening.

It is believed the driver of the vehicle lost control and slammed into a tree, sustaining serious injuries.

A passenger in the vehicle was declared dead on the scene.

The driver was transported to hospital by emergency services.

The Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to remove the victim from the wreckage.

Oak Street is currently closed to traffic, as police officials are on scene to conduct preliminary investigations.

The Newcastle Advertiser extends its condolences to the families of the deceased.
