PREVIEW: Kavitha makes curry, spice and all things nice

Having recently published her very own one-of-a-kind recipe book, Be Ind Spired, Kavitha is destined for greater things in the cooking industry.

When it comes to being a kitchen queen, Kavitha Laloo wears her crown with pride.

From curry to spice to all things nice, she certainly has it all covered.

Having recently published her very own one-of-a-kind recipe book, Be Ind Spired, Kavitha is destined for greater things in the cooking industry.

Kavitha said she always enjoyed being in the kitchen and had a passion for creating art out of food.

“My granny was my role model in all aspects of life. I remember as a young child I would sit in the kitchen learning from her as she cooked. But as I grew older, I developed my own methods of adding a modern day twist to the traditional recipes.”

The idea of putting her creations onto paper came last year, when Kavitha finally plucked up the courage to compile her first book; an all-in-one, step-by-step, modern traditional cook book.

“I have used existing recipes, which I have altered to modern living. I have also added some of my own recipes, which I discovered over the years. It is easy and covers everything from curries, sandwiches, desserts, beverages, and even a children’s menu. It really is a one-of its kind type of book, and one which I believe will be highly useful in any kitchen.”
