BRAVING the elements, from torrential rain to sweltering heat, anglers from near and far gathered at Klipfontein Dam over the past weekend to take part in the Vryheid Social Boat Angling Forum’s fishing competition.
The competition took place on November 25 and 26, with anglers of all ages taking part and the proceeds of the event going to Vryheid Hospice in the form of a whopping R40 000 cheque, which was handed over to Harry Heyns at the official prizegiving on Sunday afternoon. Harry thanked all who contributed for the generous donation which will go towards assisting the terminally ill at Vryheid Hospice.
