Man killed in CBD stabbing

A 20-year-old man was killed on the corner Landdrost and Church Streets in the early hours of Saturday morning (October 30).

Siyabonga Dlamini was walking in the company of his friends along Church Street when he was attacked by two men who had followed him from ‘Stop and Buy’ tavern.

Despite his friends’ attempt to ward off the attackers, Siyabonga died at the scene of the incident after he was stabbed with a sharp instrument. The attackers then fled.
