Oval Track racers roaring to win
After the last race meet was cancelled at the beginning of October, Saturday night’s racing event proved to be one fuelled by racers wanting to win, while spectators wished for the excitement of the race.

The sound of revving engines and roaring tailpipes filled the evening air on Satuday, November 4, beckoning racing enthusiasts to the Oval Track.
After the last race meet was cancelled at the beginning of October, Saturday night’s racing event proved to be one fuelled by racers wanting to win, while spectators wished for the excitement of the race.
In the Rookie’s Division, Muhammed Docrat proved his dominance by speeding into first place.
In the Woman’s Division, Wilma Lindeque sped into first place, with Zaakira Khan in second place and Mikaela Marshall in third place.
Ali Jamalodeen secured first place in the 1600 Category, with Dhulla Jamalodeen and Wiekie Bezuidenhout in second and third place respectively.
Pieter Bester took the win in the 1660 Division, with Hendrik van der Merwe in second place and Kevin White in third place.
Pieter Bester continued his winning streak, by securing a win in the Two-Litre Division, while Faizel Cassim took second place, followed by Anthony van der Merwe in third.
The Hot Rods Division was won by Hendrik van der Merwe, with Anthony van der Merwe in second place and Francois Greyvensteyn in third poisition.
Shakeela Ameer won the Go-Karts Division, followed by Thabo-Jan Ntjobokoane and Laim Lindeque in second and third place respectively.
