Vigilant officers recover stolen car, driver flees

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the driver who fled the scene is asked to contact the Dundee SAPS.

Alert Endumeni Traffic Officers, NV Witbooi and LJ Siwela, were certainly paying attention when they attended an accident on the corner of Tatham and Victoria Streets.
Called to the scene at about 11am last Wednesday, it was said that the driver of the Chevrolet lost control and crashed, after which the driver and passenger fled the scene. Officer Witbooi said upon checking the engine number they discovered that it had been falsified. It was later reported that the Chev had been hijacked in Umbilo, Durban, in December last year.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the driver who fled the scene is asked to contact the Dundee SAPS.
