According to the manager (MPO) for the Institute for Dairy Technology (NPC), Helene Pheiffer, the vision of the MPO is to enhance profitability and the sustainability and competitiveness of the South African dairy industry.
The graduation party took place at the Moth Hall last Thursday. Students are now qualified in Skills Development Programmes, dairy production and husbandry, Occupational Health and safety, Artificial insemination, Observation and animal handling, Socio economic empowerment, tractor maintenance and HIV AIDS and social wellness.

Mrs Pheiffer said the knowledge and practical components of the courses were presented on a dairy farm for the period of five days. “You are the future of our country. Not all of us will own a dairy farm. Not all of us will be a dairy manager. You have started now and you will receive the accolade for your efforts today,” said Mrs Pheiffer.
