Monday night saw friends; family, well-wishers and visitors turn up at Blue Haze Country Lodge to attend the launch of David Allen‘s new book – Leadership in the Trees.

The book launch saw Mr Allen share his physical experience, knowledge on leadership, snippets of each chapter, a demonstration and book signing. After a heart-warming and humorous welcome from his business partner and best friend Alfred Eden, Mr Allen was thankful to the Almighty, his partnership, his friend Alfred, his ‘leadership guru’ being his father and the woman who helped put the book together.

Mr Allen ran various leadership courses to date, both nationally and internationally and from that he has learned that the practical aspect of leadership is very popular. But in his book he wanted to take a look at the reason for leadership and popularise the theoretical aspect of leadership in eight simple steps.

“I firmly believe everything rises and falls on leadership. We all know how important leadership is but why do we spend so little time studying leadership and self-reflection? We are all leaders, we may not all be good leaders but it takes good leadership skills to even convince your child to eat their vegetables,” Mr Allen said.

His book will assist in bettering personal leadership and the teaching styles have been tried and tested by Mr Allen and Mr Eden for over 20 years

The book is available on amazon.com and the kindle app. Finger snacks were enjoyed while guests socialised in the queue to have Leadership in the Trees signed.
