Bush School nurtures a love for Mother Nature
19 children participated in the first Mpofini Bush School experience, held in December.

With Wilfred Mchunu as their guide, 19 children participated in the first Mpofini Bush School experience, held from December 11 to 15 at Mpofini Lodge.
As well as learning about birds, trees, plants and the different species of antelope, the children were also informed of the importance of tourism in Vryheid by Vryheid Tourism’s Alet Swanepoel.
Gustav Röhrs from the Battlefields Route educated the class of 19 on the rich history of our area and the significance of the Battlefields Route.
Ben Barnard taught the Bush School pupils some crucial survival skills, including how to build a shelter and how to purify water.
All in all, it was a fun-filled experience for the children, including some great activities to keep them entertained while they learned valuable lessons about their environment.
