Today (January 17) was back to school for the children of Ladysmith. Many were returning to school, while for others it was their first time there.
Some of the little ones were in tears and clinging onto their moms and dads, while others seemed excited in their new environment and eager to make new friends.
Activities to help the children take their minds off mummy and daddy included playing with blocks and colouring in, as well as mingling with one another.
Some of the parents even let a few tears roll down their cheeks as they left their children in the capable hands of a teacher.
The educators played their part in the process by soothing the kids who were crying and making sure everyone was comfortable in the classroom.
Another year of productive schooling has begun and we wish the learners all the best for 2018!
