Search continues for missing children

The storm has brought with it tragedy

A frantic search is continuing for three children from Dlamini Village who were swept away in yesterday’s devastating storm.

Police are combing the area behind Sibongile.  This morning, the body of a man was found in the Steenkoolspruit behind Dundee Secondary School.

Last night, a grandmother and a child were washed away in a stream turned into a torrent but were rescued.

A car was found washed away on the Nyanyadu road but there were no occupants inside the vehicle.

Police were earlier escorting cars across a flooded stream on the Dundee/Vryheid road which was later declared passable if motorists observe caution.

Follow ups will be provided as soon as these become available.
