A tribute to a much-loved Dr Ncube
"We are all saddened. Dr Ncube was quiet and humble, and a very committed and hard-working doctor. "He will be missed," Ms Khanyi said.

The Provincial Government will preserve the legacy of the Dundee Hospital Doctor, Sakheni Ncube (38), who drowned after his car was washed away while attempting to cross a flooded stream on the Ngisane Road on the night of January 25.
Sinethemba Nxumalo (32), also died during the same tragedy.
Speaking at the memorial service in Dundee last week, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, the KZN Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Health, described Dr Ncube as a brave, conscientious and committed professional who ‘helped improve the health status of people in some of the most remote and impoverished areas in the province.’
Dr Ncube, who hails from Zimbabwe, was a gynecologist and obstetrician.
“The Health Department will preserve Dr Ncube’s’s legacy by strengthening efforts to ensure safe child deliveries. He had a passion for women and children’s health.”

Dr Dhlomo singled out a milestone in Dr Ncube’s career which included helping to safely deliver a pregnant woman who also suffered hypertension, tuberculosis and HIV.
“He has played his part for many years in the rural settings. His death is a loss to all of us,” he said.
Happy Khanyi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Dundee Hospital, lamented the death as a major blow to the staff and community at large.
“We are all saddened. Dr Ncube was quiet and humble, and a very committed and hard-working doctor.
“He will be missed,” Ms Khanyi said.
Dr Ncube had been stationed at Dundee Hospital since September 2015, having previously worked at Nkandla Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Sifiso, and three children. He was buried in Ermelo on Saturday.
“To Dr Ncube’s wife and children, we call upon the Almighty to give you strength to deal with this painful episode. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Dr Dhlomo concluded.
