Estcourt Christian Academy Badgers in at the deep end

The Badgers have learnt how to spot dangers when using pools, the sea and dams or rivers

The Badgers at Estcourt Christian Academy (ECA) have been making waves again as they begin the New Year learning more skills to keep themselves safe as well as how to rescue someone in difficulties.

Currently, they are working towards earning the Personal Safety badge.

The Badgers; who are in grades four to seven at Estcourt Christian Academy, have learnt how to spot dangers when using pools, the sea and dams or rivers.

As well as this, they had fun learning how to master reach and rescue techniques in the school pool. The Badgers commented on how much they learnt and the fun they had.

Hopefully, they will never have to use those skills but it is good to know they have them just in case!
