Weston riders compete in New Amalfi endurance ride
Six Weston boys took part riding a very tough course of 80km
Weston riders took part in the New Amalfi Summer Ride near Swartberg on February 17.

Six Weston boys took part riding a very tough course of 80km. The course had been moved entirely onto hard dirt roads due to the recent rains.

Many riders failed to finish the ride, but despite this, Ian Currin came first in the young rider division and Ross Asherwood second.

They were separated by four seconds and completed the 80km in 5h23.

An exceptionally good result for Ross on his first ride. Later he was dunked in the water trough, as is tradition after your first ride.
