DHS Rugby wins at the annual Voortrekker Sports Day

DHS's First Netball Team obtains silver medals at Epworth High School Netball Tournament

Early on Saturday morning, March 24, the rugby boys travelled to Pietermaritzburg to take part in the Voortrekker Sports day.
The air was filled with excitement and adrenaline as these boys prepared to play against Durban College.
After a tough but very successful game, they won 35 – 7.

From March 23-25 the netball girls travelled to Pietermaritzburg to take part in a netball tournament.
Nine competitive schools took part in this tournament. The scores were as follows: The first two games were very convincing wins of 46-3 and 28-7; they drew 17 – 17 against Epworth u/16; Won 29 – 17 against Sarel Cilliers; Won 28 – 27 against Epworth 1st; Lost 15 – 35 against Durban High School; Won 29 – 3 against Felixton; Won 38 – 8 against Pinetown.
The girls managed to finish second overall in the tournament as scores were calculated on goals for and against.
Muhammad Hoffese goes through to Semi-finals in the ATKV Redenaars Public Speaking Competition
At DHS there are so many wonderful orators and Muhammad has once again attested to this fact.
The school is proud to announce that this eloquent young man has done DHS proud at the ATKV Redenaars Public Speaking Competition at Port Natal Hoërskool in Durban on March 18.
He impressed the judges so much that he proceeded to the semi-final round with his speech on ‘Verskillende Agendas’. He finished in the top 10 in his category, Gr10-Gr12 Afrikaans Fal. Well done Muhammad!
