An Easter feast at Rose of Sharon Day Care

A huge cake, boxes of Easter eggs, fruit, cool drink and other goodies were laid out, among cheers from the children

Despite the rainy and dull weather last Friday Friday, the learners at Rose of Sharon Day Care were in high spirits.

Eagerly awaiting the arrival of their special guests, the learners were seated in the school’s veranda.

The grade one, two and three learners with their educators.

There were gasps of excitement when a white bakkie drove through the gates. Management from Spar and Wimpy came with armfuls of Easter goodies for the children to enjoy.

To show their appreciation, the learners sang for the Spar and Wimpy management, while many photos and videos were taken.

The grade R learners with their educators and the team from Spar and Wimpy.

Thereafter the beautiful cake was cut and the children were told to enjoy the Easter feast. The school’s management and educators thanked the team from Spar and Wimpy for their generous donation and looked forward to continued support in future.
