  1. The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) collects more than 1,000,000 units of blood a year, which benefits those in need.
  2. Every unit of blood is estimated to benefit three individuals.
  3. The SANBS aims to collect 3000 units each day.
  4. Total donor base: 491,000 donors.
  5. This allows the SANBS to make a positive difference in society.
