They won the floating trophy and were awarded medals for this outstanding achievement. Thanks to the first-team coaches, Zodwa Nxumalo and Lindiwe Madondo for their consistent support and guidance. Well done ladies! You make the school proud!
DHS’s Joshua Donaldson – speeding his way to the top
Joshua Donaldson is excelling in extreme adrenaline junkie MTB races. He has recently taken part in three different competitions and he has done exceptionally well in all of them. Joshua recently won the South African Enduro race in Hartebeespoortdam. On April 27, he took part in the KZN Gravity MTB race in Pietermaritzburg and won that too. On April 29, he took part in the Gravity downhill race and finished third. Even though he is doing exceptionally well in this unique sport, he remains humble and focused. His passion is truly contagious and very evident in his training, organising and participation. Well done Joshua, you are an example to many!
Nqubeko Mngomezulu, Stefan Thom and Karl Thom are off to the Netherlands for Hockey
Nqubeko, Stefan and Karl were selected to form part of the ECHS Invitational Hockey Team to represent South Africa in the Netherlands and Germany from September 30 to October 11.
These aspiring athletes were chosen by a panel of professional selectors based on their outstanding performance during the tournament they attended in Bloemfontein during the school holiday.
This tour has been constructed to expose talented hockey players to the sport essence of the people and offerings of Netherlands and Germany. These aspiring athletes will also be exposed to many prospective opportunities. DHS would like to congratulate these talented young boys for being selected to form part of this amazing team.
