Notice: Petrol price expected to reach record highs and be way over R15 a litre in June

Another large petrol price hike is expected at the end of this month, going into June

Motorists will feel the pinch yet again, as another petrol price hike is on the cards.

A large petrol price increase is expected at the end of this month, going into June.

The recent fuel price increases have been taxing on South African motorists… First the 45c per litre increase on May 2 and now a steep 95c per litre increase which is looming at the end of this month.

95 octane petrol is currently at R14.71 and is expected to rise to around R15.71 in June.

93 octane petrol is currently at R14.72 and is expected to be in the vicinity of R15,46 next month.

Diesel (wholesale) is at R13.34 for May. The June price is expected to be around R14.15 per litre.

This substantial fuel price hike at the end of May is said to be due to the rising international oil price.
