Newcare Women’s Circle focuses on financial planning

“Money isn’t everything, but it can definitely help you to make beautiful memories in life.”

On May 2, this was exactly what the women from the Newcare Women’s Circle (NWC) learned, when they were joined by financial planner André Coetzee, to learn more about the importance of budgeting.

Financial planning can be difficult for anyone, and it is not always possible to plan a budget or to stick to it, but it is one of the most important skills to learn when making plans for the future.

For Coetzee, who has had years of experience as a business owner and financial planner, it is important to teach people how to distinguish between good and bad debt and how to manage debt.

“Financial planning is all about hard work. You have to take the time to budget and plan things like insurance and debt,” he explained.

The women of NWC proved yet again you are never too old to learn, and according to Jasmine Roy, NWC chairperson, the women thoroughly enjoyed being educated on how to manage their finances more competently.
