The protest was about lack of water in the area and the fact that people want RDP houses.

According to Peacetown residents, it was extremely difficult for them to get to work, as bus drivers had to travel via Burford through Watersmeet.

Residents had to walk a long distance and cross a river to get to Peacetown, which was a dangerous journey, especially in the evening.

“We are so glad that the roads are clear and that everything can get back to normal,” said a pleased resident.
