Update: Solving water problems in Princess Margaret Street

Residents are happy that water is no longer pooling at the bottom end of the street

The leaking water has finally been stemmed in Princess Margaret Street.

This after an article was recently run in the Ladysmith Gazette regarding the water problems that residents were facing.

Residents are happy that water is no longer pooling at the bottom end of the street and going to waste.

Another issue that has been addressed in Princess Margaret Street is a leaking manhole.

The leak has been fixed by the district municipality.

Residents of the street are grateful that these issues have been solved and can now breathe a sigh of relief that clean drinking water is no longer going to waste on a daily basis.

“I’m glad to see that uThukela did their job. Everyone would be happy if leaks and burst pipes were fixed timeously.

“Then stories of this nature wouldn’t constantly be appearing in the newspaper. It’s all about service delivery,” said one resident.
