Update: ‘Houdini’s Hole’ in Francis Road has been fixed

The pothole dubbed 'Houdini's Hole' has disappeared

The homemade sign that dubbed the monster-sized pothole in Francis Road as ‘Houdini’s Hole’ seems to have caught not only the attention of the community but also that of Alfred Duma Local Municipality.

Initial story: Warning: Your car could disappear into “Houdini’s Hole”

Municipal workers could be seen in Francis Road on Friday (May 25), filling the pothole that has caused motorists to swerve out of the way for quite some time now to avoid damaging their cars.

“Hopefully this means that more potholes will do a ‘disappearing act’ and motorists can have peace of mind,” quipped one motorist.
